Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-12a
This document has not been reviewed by an attorney.

1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of TunnelNet, a service operated by MinakiLabs LLC ("we", "us"), located in Illinois, United States. We operate Autonomous System 396500 and the IPv4 address block 23.187.152.0/24.

2. What the service is

For TunnelNet IP and TunnelNet Full, we lease you one public IPv4 address from our block. You install our software on a machine you control. That machine connects to our network over an encrypted tunnel, and traffic addressed to your leased address is delivered to it. The address is announced to the internet from our Autonomous System.

3. What the service is not

For TunnelNet IP, we do not carry your outbound traffic. Traffic your machine sends to the internet leaves through your own internet connection, not ours. This is not a VPN and does not change how your machine appears when it connects outward.

We do not host your machine, your data, or your services. Your machine is yours. We deliver traffic to it.

4. The address is leased, not sold

You do not acquire ownership of, or any transferable right in, the address. It remains part of our registered block. When your subscription ends, the address returns to our pool and may be assigned to another customer.

5. Payment

For TunnelNet IP, $10 per month per address, billed through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your subscription renews monthly until cancelled.

You may cancel at any time. Service continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect for a period and may suspend or terminate the service if it remains unpaid.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for everything running on your machine and everything done using your leased address. A public address makes your machine reachable from the internet. Securing it is your responsibility.

You agree to the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6A. TunnelNet Halo

What Halo is. Halo is a private router in the cloud. It runs on a server dedicated to you, in the city you choose, and sits between your devices and the internet, on top of the internet connection you already have. Traffic from your dedicated address reaches the internet through our network in Chicago, whichever city your server is in. Halo does not replace your internet provider; you still need one. Halo blocks threats and trackers and shows you what your devices are doing. Every Halo plan includes a dedicated public IPv4 address from our own network. The address belongs to MinakiLabs LLC and is assigned to you while you have Halo; it is not transferable. If you choose to use your Halo server’s own address instead, we hold your dedicated address for you for 30 days, then release it. When your plan ends, or a held address is released, it rests for 30 days before anyone else can get it, and may then be assigned to another customer.

Price, renewal and cancelling. Halo is priced per device per month, with a minimum of 3 devices, at the price shown on the Halo page and at checkout when you buy. You pay by card, billed monthly through Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Your plan renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account: Halo keeps running until the end of the month you have paid for, and we don’t charge you again. Adding a device changes your bill straight away; removing one takes effect at your next renewal. If we change the price, we email you at least 30 days before the new price applies.

Your analyst. Halo includes an analyst, which is on from the start. It runs on your Halo server and works only from counts of website names that server keeps (how many times each device looked up each website’s name, by hour, and what was blocked). It looks for problems and proposes actions, such as blocking a domain or a company. Nothing changes until you approve it; it never acts on its own. Every block shows why it happened and can be undone with one tap (“let it through”). If you disagree with Halo, your choice wins and is remembered. You can turn your analyst off in your Halo dashboard at any time; malware alerts continue. The analyst can be wrong. Its suggestions help you decide; they do not replace your judgement.

Availability. We do not guarantee uptime. We email you when your Halo server stops answering, and again when it is back. Halo lowers your risk; it cannot stop every threat. Its lists can miss something new, and they can sometimes block a site you wanted, which you can let through in one tap.

Business customers and your staff. If you use Halo for a business, you control the devices and networks it protects, and you must tell the people who use them. Before turning Halo on, give every employee or other user notice that Halo is in use, and get acknowledgement where the law requires it. You are responsible for complying with the monitoring and notice laws that apply to you. If one of your staff asks us for the information Halo holds about their device, we will refer them to you.

Fair use. Each Halo plan includes up to 2 TB of traffic a month. Far above that, we may slow your Halo server for the rest of the month, and we email you before we do. Outbound mail on port 25 is blocked on Halo, with no exception.

A suspension stops all devices. If we stop outbound traffic from your Halo server because of an abuse report (see the Acceptable Use Policy), none of your devices can reach the internet through Halo until it is restored.

When your plan ends. We delete your Halo server and everything on it, including your reports. We keep the list of your devices (their names and public keys) for 30 days after your subscription ends, in case you come back, and then delete it. Records of which account held which address are kept so we can answer abuse reports about past activity.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your service immediately and without notice if we believe you have violated the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use threatens the operation or reputation of our network, or if required by law. Where we can, we will tell you why.

You may cancel at any time from your account.

8. No service level agreement

We do not guarantee uptime or availability. This service is operated by one person on infrastructure without redundancy. It may be unavailable due to maintenance, hardware failure, network problems, or upstream provider actions outside our control.

We may need to change your assigned address. We will give notice where we can, but may act without notice where operationally necessary.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

11. Support

Support is provided by email at support@minakilabs.com. We reply within one business day.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of your use of the service, the traffic sent to or from your address, or your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

This does not apply to a claim caused by our own act or omission.

13. Copyright complaints

We respond to properly formed copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Send notices to our designated agent:

The Copyright Agent, MinakiLabs LLC (also doing business as TunnelNet), registered with the United States Copyright Office (registration number DMCA-1082047). Notices: support@minakilabs.com

A notice must identify the copyrighted work, identify the material you say infringes it and where it is, give your contact details, and include the two statements the DMCA requires: that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act for the owner.

We forward valid notices to the customer responsible for the address, and we will suspend or terminate the service of anyone who repeatedly infringes.

14. SMS Terms

If you give us a mobile number and agree to receive texts, MinakiLabs LLC (TunnelNet) sends you text messages about your own account.

15. Changes

We may change these terms. We will post the updated version with a new version date and notify active customers by email. A change that takes something away from you or raises your price takes effect 30 days after that email; other changes take effect when posted. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
